Loop Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: LOOP), a clean technology innovator in 100% recycled textile-to-textile polyester (T2T) and PET plastic, has announced a strategic alliance with Hyosung TNC, a global leader in sustainable textile solutions. The collaboration aims to scale adoption of circular polyester across global apparel and textile supply chains, expanding customer access to next-generation sustainable materials.

Driving Circularity Through Innovation

At the heart of the partnership is Loop’s Infinite Loop™ depolymerization technology, which converts low-value textile waste into Twist™, a branded, high-purity polyester resin designed specifically for the textile industry. Twist™ delivers virgin-quality performance while significantly reducing environmental impact.

Hyosung TNC will use Twist™ to produce performance yarns under its widely trusted Regen™ brand portfolio, already adopted by leading apparel and activewear companies worldwide. The collaboration offers brands a viable alternative to fossil fuel–based and bottle-derived polyester, addressing industry demand for scalable, traceable, and circular materials.

Expanding Global Market Reach

The agreement will leverage Hyosung TNC’s customer base spanning Asia, Europe, and North America, positioning Loop’s materials for wide-scale market adoption. Initial supply will come from Loop’s Terrebonne facility, with significant expansion anticipated upon commissioning of the Infinite Loop™ India project, a cornerstone of Loop’s global growth strategy.

“By partnering with Hyosung TNC, we’re strengthening the foundation of circular fashion,” said Loop Industries in its announcement. “This alliance demonstrates how collaboration across the supply chain can deliver both technical performance and sustainability outcomes that today’s brands and consumers demand.”

Meeting Industry Demands for Circular Materials

The textile industry is under increasing pressure to decarbonize and move toward circularity. By linking Loop’s cutting-edge depolymerization technology with Hyosung TNC’s manufacturing and market presence, the alliance directly addresses these pressures—offering brands proven solutions that meet stringent environmental and performance requirements.

With circular polyester demand set to rise sharply, this strategic collaboration represents a pivotal step toward reshaping the global textile supply chain around sustainability, traceability, and innovation.
