Clifton Mining Company (OTC: CFTN) is presently one of the more noted operators in the gold exploration sector. It was established in 1993, and since then it has turned into one of the major names in the exploration of gold, silver, and lead.
On December 12, the company was in the news cycle after it emerged that Desert Hawk Mining Corp. was no longer in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and the case had, in fact, been dismissed from the bankruptcy court.
The company went on to note that its management had been working on the potential acquisition of opportunities in the Trust Lands segment. As a matter of fact, Clifton Mining managed to bid on and acquire the parcel of land spanning across an area of more than 640 acres. The land is located not too far away from the town of Gold Hill in Utah.
In this context, it should be noted that Clifton Mining operates almost the entirety of its exploration activities in its mining property located on the border of Utah and Nevada. The property is spread across an area of more than 14,000 acres and has helped Clifton Mining become one of the noted members of the industry. The company also has its own processing facility, which can churn out 250 tons a day.
