On July 6, Pershing Resources Company, Inc., (OTC:PSGR) was in focus after it announced that Patrick J Burns had joined its Advisory Board. The appointment went into effect immediately. In this situation, it may be a good idea for investors to take a closer look at the credentials of Burns as an advisory board member. Burns is a Canada-based geologist with more than four decades of experience.

His experience spans across the Caribbean, South and Central America. He was involved directly with the drilling and exploration activities that led to the discovery of the Escondida porphyry copper deposit in Chile. He had also been involved in the exploration and drilling at the Zaldivar and Escondida properties. The Escondida Mining Complex boasts of being the biggest copper producer in the world.

It is also pertinent to note that Burns had also been the project manager on all three projects. Additionally, he has also been involved in director and senior management roles in a number of publicly traded mining companies in the United States, Canada, and Chile over the course of his illustrious career. P Geo and Director of Exploration at Perishing Resources Company Inc, Neil Novak, spoke about the development as well.

He noted that everyone at the company was excited about welcoming Burns to the team. He went on to add that Burns would bring a wealth of experience and superior judgment about the exploration practices in junior mining companies to the company.
