Roadzen Inc. (NASDAQ: RDZN), a global leader in AI-driven insurance technology, is accelerating its U.S. expansion after signing a definitive agreement to acquire majority control of a commercial auto insurance broker and managing general underwriter (MGU). The non-dilutive transaction is projected to generate $30 million in annual premiums and $8 million in annual revenue within 12 months post-closing, marking a significant leap in the company’s U.S. strategy.

Strategic Expansion in a $75 Billion Market

Operating across California, Texas, Illinois, and New Jersey, the acquired MGU maintains Lloyd’s of London Coverholder status — a key advantage enabling it to underwrite specialty commercial vehicle risks. The acquisition strengthens Roadzen’s footprint in the $75–80 billion U.S. commercial auto insurance market, one of the fastest-growing segments in the non-life insurance industry.

By combining the MGU’s fast-growing network of 300+ producers and 90+ fleet clients with Roadzen’s AI and telematics technology, the company is positioning itself to reshape the way commercial fleet insurance is distributed, underwritten, and managed.

Integration and Profit Synergies

Following completion, the new MGU will integrate with DrivebuddyAI and National Auto Club, creating a vertically connected platform spanning telematics, claims automation, roadside assistance, and embedded insurance. The combined business is expected to scale to $150 million in Gross Written Premiums (GWP) within three years while maintaining net income margins exceeding 25%.

Leadership Vision

“This acquisition is a strategic leap forward in Roadzen’s U.S. strategy,” said Rohan Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Roadzen. “It strengthens our distribution, adds new carrier relationships, and brings exceptional underwriting expertise. We’re building a foundation to lead the transformation of the $75+ billion commercial auto market — powered by AI and data intelligence.”

Looking Ahead

With accelerating growth in India, a major OEM partnership underway in Europe, and now this U.S. expansion, Roadzen is solidifying its position as the global leader at the intersection of AI, insurance, and mobility. The acquisition marks a key milestone in its mission to deliver smarter, safer, and more efficient insurance solutions worldwide.
