White Gold Corp. (WGO.V) (OTCQX:WHGOF) boasts of a portfolio comprising as many as 17,585 quartz claims spanning 30 projects and encompassing around 350,000 hectares. The total landmass works out to around 40% of the White Gold District of Yukon. The flagship project of White Gold Corp hosts a total of four gold deposits of the near-surface variant.
The deposits hold an estimated 1,152,900 ounces of gold in terms of indicated resources and in terms of inferred resources, the figure stands at 942,400. The company was in the news on July 6 after it announced that diamond drilling activities had commenced at its Betty Ford target at the Betty property located in the White Gold District.
The property in question is situated around 40 kilometers from the Newmont Corporation Coffee gold deposit and 15 kilometers to the northeast of the Western Copper and Gold Corporation’s Casino porphyry deposit. The company also announced that the planning of the drilling activity at the Betty Ford property was still being evaluated for 2023. David D’Onofrio, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, noted that the systematic approach from White Gold Corp continued to demonstrate positive results.
