Earlier this week, US Nuclear (OTCQB:UCLE) was in focus after it announced that it had appointed Michael Hastings, a member of its board, as its new Chief Financial Officer. The appointment was made by the company after Richard Landry vacated the position following his departure.

It may be a good move for investors to take a closer look at Hastings’ credentials. He served in the capacity of a corporate finance officer for more than three decades. He retired from EnerSys Inc. as its vice president and treasurer. At the time of his retirement, the company had revenues of $2 billion and also had global operations.

In the news release from US Nuclear yesterday, the company noted that Hastings held considerable experience in valuation, negotiations, and due diligence related to a large number of negotiations. Much more recently, he also served as the CFO and a member of the board of directors of MegaGraphite Inc. between 2011 and 2014.

That particular stint ended after the company was sold. The company went on to add that Hastings was an ‘incredible addition’ to its management team and would bring wide-ranging experience to his new role with US Nuclear.
